I'm Nikki Thorpe, a qualified classroom teacher with experience in Canberra classrooms, learning support units and teaching reading intervention to students of all ages.

I have been teaching Tier 3 literacy intervention using a systematic synthetic phonics program for  5 years in a clinic setting. I've loved my job there, but wanted to make the program more mobile and accessible for busy, working families.  I am able to provide tuition from my home in Ngunnawal, students' homes, or at students' schools (dependent on permission from the school and space available). My hope is to remove the added logistical stress an extra curricular activity can cause families by providing tuition at a location that best suits the student and family.
